Once a month on a Friday night, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in Fritze Hall, our preschool through fifth grade children gather for a simple supper, bible story, music, crafts, games, and often a science or cooking experience. Adult care-givers are welcome to stay with us through the evening or to take the night off.
Vacation Bible School will take place this year, June 10-14, 2024 from 6 to 8 p.m. We will have VBS age groups for both children and adults and together enjoy assembly time, bible story, music, science, crafts, and lots of good food. The money and food we collect for our VBS offering goes to non-profit organizations that help people in need. VBS is great time to make friends and to discover that God is closer to us than we ever thought before. This year, we will be traveling to Camp Firelight and learning that God helps us when we are afraid.
On the Sunday, June 16th after VBS, we will have a special VBS worship service and luncheon with lots of child-friendly foods to celebrate our week together.
Our Women of the ELCA group meets on Zoom the first Thursday of the month. Members share together in a bible study from the WELCA magazine, GATHER, and enjoy time to support one another. To get the Zoom invitation to this monthly gathering, contact Sheila Lanshe through the church office.
On a Friday or Saturday night from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in early in December, we take time to remember the stories of Jesus birth. Supper, crafts secular and sacred, music, simple worship, and lots of fun help us welcome in the Advent season and prepare for the Good News of Christmas - God is with us, Jesus is born.
